How do I set up the robot? 

Set up is simple. Just unbox, place the dock on a hard-surface floor,at least 4 feet away from stairs with ample space for the robot tonavigate in and out. Download the Roomba® Home App, follow theprompts and in a few minutes, your robot is ready to go.

Roomba Home App is designed to operate on home Wi-Fi networks that support device discovery.

Note: We no longer support iPad or tablet devices during setup. You may not be able to set up your robot on an iPad or tablet. Foldable phones are often classed as tablets.

How well does it mop?

PowerSpin™ Roller Mop spins at 200RPM and SmartScrub mops backand forth with downward pressure to scour dried-on messes.PerfectEdge™ extends the mop pad to clean closer to edges, corners, andhard-to-reach places.

How well does it vacuum?

A great vacuum is more than just power (though this one has 13,000 Pa suction. Dual Rubber Brushes and Dual Edge-Sweeping Brushesplow through pet hair, extracting dirt along walls and in corners, andCarpet Boost devours dirt from hardfloors to carpets.

How does the AutoWash™ Dock work?

Your robot will return to its dock to auto-empty debris, wash and drythe roller mop with heat, mix StayClean™ Mopping Concentrate withclean water to refill the robot, and run self-cleaning cycles to removeleftover debris after roller washing.

How does home mapping work?

ClearView™ Pro LiDAR + PrecisionVision™ AI Technology scans yourhome to create up to 5 maps and auto-names rooms in the Roomba®Home App. Mapping takes only 9 minutes 7 , and then your robot is readyto navigate smoothly and avoid obstacles.

Will my privacy be protected?

Yes, iRobot uses encryption to store and strictly limit access to dataand is verified by 3rd party security organizations. Security measuresinclude auto software updates and the ability to delete your data if youpass your robot on to a new owner.

Does the robot vacuum and mop at the same time? 

Yes and the choice is yours! Your robot has 4 cleaning modes: vacuumonly, mop only, both at the same time, or vacuum first then mop. And itautomatically avoids carpets in vac + mop or mop cleaning modes, noneed to stress over extra mess.

What kind of maintenance is required?

Perform basic care to keep your robot and dock running smoothly:wipe the robot bin, rinse dock water tanks, clean charging contact &brushes, and change the filter every 3-6 months. See the owner's guidefor detailed instructions.
