How do I set up the robot?
Set up is simple. Just unbox, place the dock on a hard-surface floor, at least 4 feet away from stairs with ample space for the robot to navigate in and out. Download the Roomba® Home app, follow the prompts and in a few minutes, your robot is ready to go.

Roomba Home App is designed to operate on home Wi-Fi networks that support device discovery.

Note: We no longer support iPad or tablet devices during setup. You may not be able to set up your robot on an iPad or tablet. Foldable phones are often classed as tablets.

How well does it mop?
DualClean™ mop pads spin at 200RPM to scour the toughest messes with ease. Set SmartScrub to mop back and forth pushing downward on stubborn messes the way you would. Roomba® even detects rugs and lifts its mop pad to keep them dry while vacuuming.

How well does it vacuum?
A great vacuum is more than just power (though this one is equipped with 7000 Pa of intense suction. A flexible rubber brush and edge-sweeping brush plow through pet hair, extracting dirt along walls and in corners, and Carpet Boost devours dirt from hard floors to fluffy carpets.

How does the AutoWash™ Dock work?
Your robot will return to its dock to auto-empty debris, auto-wash pads as needed during mopping, then washes and dries them when cleaning's complete. A self-cleaning cycle pumps water through the dock, washing away any accumulated debris.

How does the home mapping work?
ClearView™ LiDAR scans your home to create up to 4 maps, even on different levels of your home that you can customize in the Roomba® Home App. Mapping takes only 9 minutes⁷, and then your robot is ready to navigate smoothly and avoid obstacles.

Does the robot vacuum and mop at the same time?
Yes and the choice is yours! Your robot has 4 cleaning modes: Additional guidance vacuum only, mop only, both at the same time, or vacuum first then mop. And it automatically avoids carpets in vac + mop or mop cleaning modes, no need to stress over extra mess.

Will my privacy be protected?
Yes, iRobot uses encryption to store and strictly limit access to data and is verified by 3rd party security organizations. Security measures include auto software updates and the ability to delete your data if you pass your robot on to a new owner.

What kind of maintenance is required?
Perform basic care to keep your robot and dock running smoothly: wipe the robot bin, rinse dock water tanks, clean charging contacts & brushes, and change the filter every 3-6 months.
